Excellent Fly Masks That Protect My Cattle’s Eyes
"I received my fly masks a couple of days ago and promptly applied them to my three bovines. The mesh fabric is of very nice quality—durable, breathable, and well-constructed—while the fit and adjustment straps worked exceptionally well. They are easy to put on and adjust, provided you have a reliable method to keep the animal’s head still during application. It took the cattle about a day or two to fully acclimate to wearing them. Since then, I have observed all three grazing and playing normally. Close inspections confirm that flies land on the masks but cannot reach the eyes, which was my primary concern. Several years ago, I lost the sight in one cow’s eye due to a severe fly-induced infection, making this protection especially meaningful. Additionally, the animals appear noticeably more content in hot weather or in the barn, where flies congregate. They seem to rest better without constant irritation on their faces. These fly masks have proven to be a valuable addition to my livestock care routine.
